Our first official meeting brought together five founding members and our advisors in the parish hall at St. Paul & the Redeemer. We talked about what Venturing is, what a youth-led crew looks like, and what kinds of adventures we want to take on.
What we decided
- Meet one Friday a month at 7:30 pm for now
- Hold officer elections at an upcoming meeting
- Plan at least one high adventure trip each year
- Try a few different activities this year to find our focus
Ideas on the board
Backpacking, paddling, rock climbing, winter camping, a Chicago-area service project, and a long-term goal of a trip to one of Scouting America’s national high adventure bases.
